Downtown – Quick n Dirty
We know you’ve
been hearing about the ultra-lounges and mega-clubs on the
Strip, and we know you think you just have to wait in
line for hours to experience TAO or Lavo. We know that
you’re convinced you have to be seen at PURE or JET. You
probably can’t bear the thought of not getting a table at
Tryst or Rain. Well, all that may seem incredible, but why
not branch out and experience all that Vegas
nightlife has to offer? We love draining bottles of Goose at
Tryst just as much as the next VIP, but sometimes mingling
Downtown with the locals is the only way to roll.
Some of these
venues may not be polished, gleaming monuments of VIP
over-indulgence like the clubs on the Strip (Ooo, so
shiny!), but they’ve got it where it counts- the dopeness
factor. Instead of haute-couture-clad VIP table ornaments
you may come across rockabilly betties, and rather than guys
rocking sport coats you may drink next to a rocker sporting
a mohawk. These are all good things, people- a break from
the Top 40 norm. Britpop, Ska, Punk, House, Drum & Bass…
It’s all Downtown, and it’s all good.
I guess you
just have to ask yourself one simple question: do you have
what it takes to get down Downtown?
