Seek &
Destroy
We’ve
stormed Studio 54. We’ve swarmed Tryst. We’ve slammed Body
English. But when it came time to celebrate (or mourn) our
buddy Dustin moving to the East Coast Jacko had a different
night in store. Rather than rip up one of the more massive
monuments to THElife such as PURE or TAO, why not
overrun a smaller venue?
Of course
a large faction of us met up with Jacko Smiley at Treasures
Gentlemen’s Club & Steakhouse, starting the evening off
properly with cocktails, shots, and beautiful women. Just
when we had almost gotten a bit too comfortable at Treasures
Jacko announced that it was time to roll. Awaiting us
outside was one of Treasures’ limos, a giant, stretched,
white Excursion. Nice.
There
were many more in our party, all waiting for us inside the
Wynn, occupying various bars throughout the casino. Texts
and phone calls circulated throughout the resort, alerting
everyone partying for Dustin that we were ready to claim our
tables and bottles. Blush, the exclusive boutique nightclub
owned by Sean Christie, was about to be torn apart.
We
funneled into the VIP line, Jacko and I at the front of the
line. The VIP hosts spoke to Jacko in hushed tones, then
looked at each other and turned their gazes past us and down
the line. I could hear one host asking how many of us there
were. I told him that there were about four dozen of us…in
this wave. There were more on their way. A call was made
over the radios to grab bottles and prepare tables.
Tucked
away towards the middle of the club, a short and convenient
walk from the washrooms is a fantastic VIP area. Blush has
done this area right: it’s dark, secluded, and the seating
is both plush and plentiful. This section is ideal for
draining bottles and getting into trouble. We packed it to
the bursting point and proceeded to destroy any belief that
Blush appeals to a tamer crowd than other Vegas clubs.
There
really is no lesson to be learned here this issue. This is
much more a thank you to Jacko Smiley, Treasures Gentlemen’s
Club & Steakhouse VIP host, and a farewell to our good
friend Dustin. It’s also a thank you to everyone who came
out to both party one last time with Dustin and help us pack
an exclusive nightclub. Thank you!
On second
thought, perhaps there is a lesson to be learned here. When
you’re looking to be taken care of in Vegas, Jacko Smiley
gets the job done. Getting to know a good VIP host in Vegas
is in your best interest, as cultivating that relationship
can get you the type of treatment about which you just read.
The right host with the right motivation can part ropes, pop
bottles, and help you create the type of Vegas memories of
which others can only dream.
